Brief introduction	Beijing sustainable development promotion center of science and technology (SDPST) is a public intuition with independent corporate capacity directly under Beijing committee of science and technology. As the extension of governmental function, its tasks include ： Provide science guide and technical services for sustainable development of society and economy. Contents 1. Apply, report, recommend and manage sustainable development pilot areas 2. Select, recommend, demonstrate and popularize projects in sustainable development pilot areas 3. Research for and popularize sustainable development 4. Cooperate with administration of social development to evaluate and supervise scientific projects (except key projects) in social development such as ecological environment, energy sources, disaster prevention, resources utilization, community and social safety, city and village construction, public utility, culture, education, sports, city management) 5. Investigate and research for social development 6. Implement routine works, projects and plans of science popularization union conference. 7. Research for science popularization 8. Organize various activities of science popularization and communicate district and county offices of science popularization union conference for promoting works. 9.Organize domestic and international investigation for sustainable development pilot areas and science popularization. 10. Cooperate with administration of social development to promote related works such as meeting, exhibition, training and scientific week.
