| 13 units of Chaoyang District are denominated Beijing Municipal Science Popularization Bases |

Chaoyang District, layed stress on implementation of “the law of the People's Republic of China for popularity of science and technology”and "Outline of National Action Scheme of Scientific Literacy for All Chinese Citizens", and promoted the improvement of public science literacy. Relying on innovative science popularization communities and science popularization demonstration bases, guiding construction of basic level innovation ability and demonstration of the Public-Spirited technology, creating the atmosphere of intra-region respecting science and encouraging innovation, it improved the science literacy of the public all district.
Now, according to the evaluation results of Science Popularization Bases naming organized by Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, 13 units of which Chaoyang District declared were named as Beijing Municipal Science Popularization Bases, accounted for 13%. 11 of them, including China National Film Museum and China Agriculture Museum, etc, were named as Science Popularization education Bases. 2 of them, including “National Geographic ” journal press, etc, were named as Science Popularization media Bases. Naming of these bases would integrate resources of the Capital, and establish platform for Science Popularization, which would play the better promoting role in fostering the scientific spirit, spreading scientific knowledge, and communicating science thought and science method.
