With China acceding to WTO, agriculture in China is facing unprecedented challenges and opportunities.
Sponsored by Beijing municipal science and technology commission, co-organized by the Village Development Center of Beijing municipal science and technology commission, Beijing Pharmacy and Biotech Center, Beijing academy of agriculture and forestry scientific research, supported by many authoritative organizations, such as Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China Agriculture University, China Agriculture Biotechnology Association, China Crop Life Association, the First Summit on Beijing Biotechnology and Agriculture will be held in Nirvana Resort Beijing on April. 25th and 26th, 2008.
The theme of this summit is international seed industry. The organization committee will invite government officials in domestic and abroad, the world-famous scholars, multinational corporation giants and the heads of the former 50 domestic seed companies to discuss together the development situation, tendency and dilemma of seed industry, analysis under the new situation how to open up market, and how to promote the development of seed industry, and put forward suggestions on the development of urban agriculture in Beijing.
