It is the symbolize that the construction of the Olympics develops into the sage of deal with concrete matters.
Sci-technology Olympics is the technical ensure to achieve the “Human Olympics” and “ Green Olympics”. At the month successfully applied the Olympics, Science and Technology Department and Beijing take the lead and organize the Education Department, Scientific Industry Commission of the National Defence, National Sport Head Office, the Chinese Academy of the Sciences, the Chinese Academy of the Technology, Chinese Science Association, National Science Fund Commission, National Weather Bureau, Information Industry Department to set up “Olympics science and technology (2008) active plan” to promote the construction; after that, units attended this plan and the Olympics organization commission set up “ twenty-ninth Olympics Science and Technology Commission”(OSTC). “Olympics science and technology (2008) active plan” and OSTC are the important organization which combine the national science and technology force to establish the Olympics and supply the platform and mechanism for the national science and technology resources. Within two years, taking the “Olympics science and technology (2008) active plan” and OSTC as the bridge, the science field has hold the strategy plan of the Olympics on information, security, transportation, environment protection, field and hall, energy, sport technology etc, and it also contact the technical department, environment department, sport service department, and set up the experts database to gather the experts to attend the construction; persists in the logos of the open Olympics and cooperates with European Union, U.S.A, German, Australia, France, Greece.
“To promote the Olympics with science and technology; and promote science and technology with Olympics” is the logos of the technical fields. After two years construction, the sci-technological Olympics have turned the ideal of the sci-technology Olympics to the realism. Up to now, the executive plan of ten important project have compiled. These ten projects have started 167 subprojects, including 249 subjects, and absorbed the social capitals which take account of 59.5% besides the governmental investing. Some projects have achieved the stage fruits. The first six months this year, some units communicated with the Olympics Organization Commission and started some projects such as “Olympics information system of wireless mobile IPv6 joint demonstration net technology”, “ construction of the virtual Olympics museum “, “semiconductor LED big screen display and illumination project”, “the Olympics weather safeguard technical test and research.
